Onell September 2017 Drop: Gobon's Return?

The Renegades before they fought for their freedom were designed to combat the Villser, while throughout the story Argen evolved into a pseudo-Villser and has been infected with Villser's power. While I would like to see this shaky alliance pan out with Argen taking command of warring factions, with everything else being released, it already seems like a packed story.

My bet is that Argen (the named character, not the Buildman sculpt that's already confirmed) won't be showing up for this drop. Last we saw, he was possessing a Pathfinder, so it could be that he's floating around as a viral infection of his own.

That being said, I think the Renegades-Villser connection will come up during this drop for sure. But how do the Glyknights fit in...?

On the blog it says something about Glyknights needing powerful foes, so maybe they to find Villser. Like they're testing this new threats strength.

Add in the silver tampos instead of white with black or silver paint masking and yes, I want it. Add in some matching swings for good measure.

OK, so the purple is most likely the Gendrone color and quite possibly a Glyknight too. If the "Knight" crossover is indeed a KOTS figure I could see it in purple too. The question I'm wondering about is who they're facing. Will we see Villsers (I'm assuming yes) and if so, in what colors? Maybe some folks think it's too early but I would be cool seeing the Standard color combo show up sooner than later. Will we a see "mimic" color combo like we usually see with the Armorvors? Maybe stealth???

Lastly, could this be the when Gotherrus makes his return?

I'm loving the new Gendrone colors! Definitely picking up the Gobon, and possibly the mystery figure depending on what it's based on. Maybe it'll be a DSG in Alpha Pilot colors?

It has changed twice. The first version at drop said 14 total parts. They must have posted that description after I copied the text, and now it says 18 total parts including Extra Set. The last line still remains that you quoted.

How is there still so much in stock? I would've thought metallic purple and voss would be quick sellouts. I guess I can only speak for myself in that these colors are ones I really dig and have waited a long time to see. Maybe there have been too many drops in the Glyos world all the way around where people are tapped out? There doesn't seem to be much traction here or on the facebook group...at least not like the old days in the OT forums!

So, what do you all think of this drop?

I think its was a pretty good drop. We haven't gooten a good metallic buildwave in awhile.

And I think with the recent hurricanes people don't/can't spend as much as they would either because they were affected or donated to the repair.

Love this release. As was said before, we haven't had a big metallics drop for a while and the purple and voss are killer colors. Can't wait to pile all the new stuff on my coffee table

It is a bit crazy to see so many of the items still available. I agree, the color combo of the Gendrone Alliance is especially nice and we had some older figures return after a long hiatus (both having sold out by now). I wonder if numbers were tweaked after last moth's Villser debut and that explains why they're hanging around but surprisingly the mystery figure and the Vector Jump aren't gone yet. Luckily for me I was able to go back in and get a couple more things earlier today.

You make a great point though about recent drops and folks being tapped. Personally I am and I've had to sit out on many drops because of it. Not complaining by any means, I wish I could support all the lines but it isn't feasible for me. Look at this list I compiled from Glyos Wikia info. When one drop passes and then another they kinda start to slip on by but it's a lot to take in when looking at it as a whole. This past month isn't your average though because several of the sister lines aren't monthly or bimonthly releases and there was a new one to the mix.

You're correct that all the recent sister companies have tapped some people. All of the drops I quoted are the reason I only got a gobon and the brown villser last night, along with appropriate axis joints and a hub set. Although, I am very tempted to go back for a couple of things that are still available.

Well, as of this post, most everything has now been dropped to Low Stock status. Maybe it just takes a little longer for people to decide these days?

Ten drops in six weeks, plus hurricanes, could definitely have an affect. Additionally, I think it might also be that there are other explanations as well: higher production numbers for this drop, especially with the return of Gendrones, wouldn't be too hard to believe, among others.

That being said, I think we all might be so used to lightning-fast sell-outs that it stands out when things hang around for a little bit. No reason to panic, likely, as I suspect we'll see the store shrink over the next few days still.

Love this release. As was said before, we haven't had a big metallics drop for a while and the purple and voss are killer colors. Can't wait to pile all the new stuff on my coffee table

Can't wait to see what you've got planned! Though, having seen your displays on IG, just where do you think you'll be able to stash them all once you're done building?

As for me, I'm at least putting together one of these guys. Some of the classic Contained Builds will no doubt look sharp with those extra silver highlights.
