Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not expeting this to be a true build wave. When I hear 'build wave' I think of waves like Glyaxia II or Sendollest Drifts where just about every item was offered in the wave's main colors. Glyaxia II even moreso because of the extra vinyl (I think the last time we saw the Tri-Hubs & Switch Pins). Anyway, with the bits of info we've either been given or deciphered it seems the more fitting term would be 'builder' wave since there'll be some contained builds either offered to buy (like the Pathfinder) or we'll see pics of the builds to make our own (like the Esedeth vehicles). The downer IMO is the that there's no crossover and I specifically think the Neo Zeroid would lend itself very well with other Onell accessory sets for vehicles/rovers.

Anyway, another boardie pointed out there's a bit of a pattern with the recent drops having pics pop up on drop day so we may not see any until the wee hours of the morning.

I hear you in one sense. Matt has hinted for a while on the blog that this drop would be a "builder" drop. On the other hand, I would like to actually SEE the stuff to know if it's stuff I would want to build with! I guess it'll just be a random free-for-all at drop time to decide what I stuff I HAVE to have.

Exactly why I'm hoping for a teaser image tonight, even if it's just a barely-visible silhouette like the Skaterriun teasers. I'd love to see at least a little hint at what's going to pop up. It makes drop night that much easier, because I don't need to rush as much when deciding what to buy.

Another possible interpretation: "builder" was referring to the LEGO Classic Space homage, since, y'know, we build with LEGO.

Also, good rule of thumb is this: have a spreadsheet ready to run calculations on what figures and builds you generally like to have, as the prices really haven't fluctuated in a long time. (The exception is usually Axis Joints, since those will sometimes have a discounted price for a particular colorway.) Contained builds have also hovered around $20 - $22, so we can expect that to factor in as a cost, too. We know some of the colors being offered, so estimate based on that; for example:

• Grey is a neutral, so I'd expect that, of the four colors we've seen, that'd be a big build color. This would be a possible contained build color, too.
• Given the homage, I'd also wager that blue might also be run in a few different accessory sets as well. Same as grey, this could be a contained build colorway.
• With the homage, red and yellow might be our "minifigs," either Glyans or DSGs.

So right away, I can maybe anticipate a $22 grey contained build, a $22 blue contained build, and $11 red and yellow Glyans. Already, we're looking at maybe $66 without surprises to get one of each. Throw in an extra $20 to cover unanticipated surprises (a blue DSG? that old-timer mentioned in the comments?), and you at least have a little bit more of a plan going on.

Keep in mind, I am probably totally off-base, though.

Damn, I don't think we've ever been this close to a drop without a single photo of what things might look like.

That said, to piggyback on what we do know:

>Vinyl, which means at least 1 Rig because lego space ships

>DSGs, definitely Red and Blue and possibly grey
>Mountain dew colored axis joints like the yellow lego space windshields

Personally I'd love a special build of a DSG with red or blue base and then heavily painted trans yellow hubset with just the helmet screen left unpainted.

Is it odd that we don't have a teaser picture yet? This is only my second drop since getting into Glyos, but when Skaterriun debuted we had a couple teasers the night before the drop.

Personally I'd love a special build of a DSG with red or blue base and then heavily painted trans yellow hubset with just the helmet screen left unpainted.

Is it odd that we don't have a teaser picture yet? This is only my second drop since getting into Glyos, but when Skaterriun debuted we had a couple teasers the night before the drop.

Yea... it is odd and annoying, but it seems to be the new norm.
Back in the day we'd have a solid week give or take of hype building. It was exciting to see a new teaser/piece of lore each day leading up to the drop.

Not only that but it energized the community, there was longer threads with discussions and sharing of build ideas/possibilities from other users that you may not have thought of.

Now it just seems like the thread is radio silent as we are all hoping to see something a few hours up till the drop and then it's just a roll call of what we anxiously and hurriedly nabbed... then dead again until the figs come.

Not trying to sound so negative, but hey just my observations.

I think it's just the shoulder of the DSG and his gun mounted on the buggy. Look at that far left yellow DSG, Just out of focus.



Though I really do hope to see the return of Gobon and the buildman. With all of these DSG colonists,
makes me itch to build more of these spacemen

Now that we're getting a bunch of cool pics today I hope this post doesn't go unnoticed or just filed under the musings of a crazy old guy from back in the good ol' days! I agree with everything here.

I have such nostalgia for this community which I think everyone can agree is basically a ghost town most days. Granted, no one could have predicted the strange and untimely "shut down" of OTF, where people split for good, split into smaller groups on facebook, and then many of didn't return once this place was set up. But all of your points hit reasons that things are silent these days that CAN be controlled.

I wouldn't be buying glyos if not for the days of a week+ of photos leading up to the drop. I saw them, thought they were strangely captivating, and came back each day only to see something new. It made me so excited for the drop day to come and by the time it did I had figured out what glyos was and how the shop worked and made a rough idea of all the things I wanted to buy(thanks to lists lol), which was a ton because of photos of dozens of figures interacting.

It seems now that the methods of promotion are more silent, more random, like I see from a decent number of smaller indie and art toy companies. So if they're going for a kind of underground thing, I guess it works? Perhaps life is just getting in the way, perhaps helping manage all the great sister lines of glyos which weren't around back in 2011 cuts down on time for the main line promotion, I don't know. But I do agree with you that the ritual leading up to a drop release was a magnificent time and it feels like it's been slowly dialed back more and more over the past couple of years, with less notice, fewer photos of smaller setups, and less info.

I think that was it. Once I added the remaining drive shaft pieces and turned the backside Axis piece at the top around for a headrest, it really came together. Going to go shoot some pics with my shiny new Glyninja Go-Kart.

Would love to know if this comes with a Sarvos head similar to Strike Team White Skull or Venjorun. I haven't bought much lately, but I'll think I'll be going for this figure and anything similar.

I have a confession to make guys. I bought the last set of wheels back in 2015. In fact, I bought the last 3 sets, and with those 3, came a 4th set in dark green. I never really thought about them, just freebies, but in hindsight, they don't match any colored releases. We have the standard 3 colors from Onell Design and we have a variety from the Beantown Beanbot Spoon Racers, but all the spoon racers have brighter green colors. I think these are Volkriun wheels.

A brief summary of what I just did...

Two tone blue, damn the Mega Man fan in me! Two of each upgrade for some epic building with that blue Glyan and not much I could say no to on this run.

Hoping Vekurrek stays in stock until tomorrow! Going to pick up one of those, and hopefully the blue Glyan, if things go well
