I think part of our problem is that we have to be more aggressive on eBay. We complain and complain about figures being impossible to get, when they're selling right under our noses, and at cheap prices. See that convention exclusive orange pheyden to the far right in my signature? One just sold on eBay for under $30.

Sometimes (and even on October toys) trying to make a trade deal for Glyos is like pulling teeth. I HATE trades. It seems like neither party can come to an agreement. That's why I do cash. I mean, if I don't have the thing you want to trade for, but you have the item I want, then lemme buy it from you. That money can be used for anything! Future drops, gas, food! Go try and pay your rent with a Gobon. Go, I double-dog dare ya! Ugh. I just don't get people.

You have a waaaaay better chance at selling something than you do at finding someone who has the exact thing that you want and you happening to have the exact thing they want to trade for. If the rare opportunity to trade is there, then okay, yeah, trade. But if it isn't as is with most cases, then people should always be in selling/buying mode.

For me...Redlaw Argen. I overslept that drop and Argen went quickly. Nemica gobon and rusty gobon got away before I was even aware of glyos. Still want both but I'm resigned to not having either one. And if stealth gobons come back then I'll just make my own.
And I agree on trades in general. Too much stress. Not enough transacting.

Missed the bird, was trapped on the road at the time. I did get the Phanost to join my growing Dreadvalken Phanost army.

I would have said Genesis Maxx. Found one just a couple of months after I started collecting Robo Force. I will eventually need a complete Commander Sullkren Mk. II to go with the awesome ZED Dark Traveler I recently received. Detail lines are amazing! None of my other Onell figures have had these before.

So this beauty was in a batch of 10 Sarvos on eBay, most of which I had, so I've got a few spares on eBay now to make up the cost of the lot, but I was not letting another chance slip by. Getting the one that got away is mostly persitence and a little luck.

Now I have to pick a new One... thinking Phosis Sarvos or Metran Pheyden, I missed both of those more than once.

I have been incredibly lucky when it comes to white whales. My original most wanted figure ever, the dark delphi, joined my collection a few years back:



My other grail, I know who owns it and should they ever want to get rid of it I hope they come to me first.. another Delphi seen in the front here



And last but not least, the only production figure I haven't tracked down, Redlaw Phanost. Phanost is best traveller to begin with, and I loved the floating armor and detail lined look that the subsequent redlaw figures didn't really bother with beyond very minor accents.



I'm all for re-releases with either no differences or exceptionally minor differences.. I love glyos with all my heart but I've never been a supporter of the almost forced rarity of the figures. I think some of the greatest assets of the line- the fact that it's a building toy and in theory encourages army building- are hurt by the fact that most times, if you don't buy as much as you can of a figure or a color right when it comes out, you'll never get a chance to get more again. I've lost count of how many times I bought a single figure of a colorway and once it showed up in the mail realized I wanted a dozen more just like it only to have it all be sold out and never to return. I realize that it being a relatively small operation makes this difficult to be any other way, but I'd be army building ZED and EMD(among others) stuff to this day if I still had ways to buy more in those colors.

Silver Echomorph. I'm a hardcore squad builder, so when I get cartjacked it can take a really long time to build up what I need to complete the squad. The original Glyaxia drop was how long ago? I'm still short 2 Echomorphs and MKI Hades. And I stayed up until 3am that drop night. I'm not bummed though, it's part of the fun. I consider it a challenge, and I've been very successful in most cases. Those Echomorphs just really gnaw at me. I had them AND MKI practically in my hands laid out on a silver platter just a few months ago. Nope, back to the drawing board. I don't even wanna talk about the White Skull drop. On the bright side, I just unboxed a Renegade a few hours ago. Welcome home, buddy!

I know red comes up fairly often (I've seen it three times since 2013 but not quite this saturated) but this yellow might never come again. And that's too bad.

I would happily strip at least one of my Yellow DSGs of the current Red swings for some proper Selogo Yellow swings for a solid color yellow Selogo Colonist. This particular yellow had a really nice deepness to it so I hope it might come back on other figures in the future. I'm all for a Selogo II.

See, I got into Glyos with TJOmega's crash course videos in 2014, and after some Robo Force purchases, I bought a lot on eBay of like 80 Onell figures for a few hundred dollars. This really started off my collection and gave me an awesome variety of stuff. In this, and I didn't know until months later, was a MK I Hades with his unpainted GITD phase arm.

That totally counts. Now I wonder: how many people actually do have all the Mk ns of a figure on display? That'd be cool to see from a progression standpoint.

Mine would be Metran Security Command Sarvos. MSC was my first drop. I was introduced from TJOmega's seires and wanted a Sarvos. I hesitated to much while ordering and it got nabbed right away.

Mine is the Microshin Glyan. I am a huge micronauts/microman fan and it was what brought me to glyos 9 years ago and is reflected in my board ID, acro as in acroyear. Anyway when that head released I was super happy but figured that we would see it over and over again like the other molds so I passed on it thinking I would get several when the inevitable run of silver happened. (For proper micro hears you know). I was so upset with myself when I realized that the mold was gone and the head was no more.

I keep hoping a new version shows up at some point before I die.
