Summer Heatwave: Winners Announced!

It's been hot out here. Really hot. And heat is one of the things about summer that a lot of us could do without. However, heat does make it easier to build things out of these delightful pieces of PVC and vinyl we have, so it's high time we had another contest.

The Contest:

Post a build along the theme of "heatwave," and you'll be entered to win! Got a good desert-themed build? What about a Glyaxian firefighting robot idea? A flaming-hot Glyan using our new red and orange parts? Or maybe a souped-up Exile MC that looks like it just dropped its mixtape? The only limit is your imagination!

The Rules:

Post a pic of your build in this thread, and congrats! You're entered into the drawing!

The winner will be chosen at random using RANDOM.org's Sequence Generator. Each user will be assigned a number based on the order of their submission (e.g. the first entry will be "1," the second entry will be "2," etc.), which will then be used for the Sequence Generator. As with the contest back in January, I'll keep updating the entrant list (with corresponding numbers) in a section below.

The cut-off for entries will be August 16 August 19, so this will be a quickie contest! The winner will be announced in-thread and in the Mini-Chat at 9:00 pm Eastern on August 20, and PM'ed for a mailing address for the prize, which should go out shortly afterward!

The Glyaxian Heat Containment Suit







In order to travel the surface of some planets directly facing the sun of their solar system, Glyaxia developed a suit designed specifically to rapidly cool down the body inside and reflect sunlight off the suit using a bright metallic compound. Using this, a standard Glyan or other humanoid Glyos species can go through extreme heat without absorbing much sunlight and cooling down the excess heat within the suit. In case of emergency, the suit is also equipped with a cannon filled with a freezing chemical, if needed.

In honor of the intense heat we've gotten in the city, and in hopes that more creativity will survive the temperatures, I've extended the deadline for this Friday, August 19. If you've been on the fence about this one, now might be a perfect time to jump in, especially as you never know what can happen during these dog days of summer...
