I can't agree with that opinion because I don't have any idea what their pre-existing relationship is. They could be long-time friends or maybe it was a token of appreciation to their biggest Weaponeers buyers. I don't know and don't care to.

I'm thinking SMC was hit by an inventory snaffu with eCrater similar to Onell did with Paypal. These systems just aren't foolproof. That compounded with a conservative number going in just made things worse for them & those interested.

What we're failing to grasp here is that this is a new product line but not their first go at a line. Their recent Weaponeers drop numbers probably played a significant factor on the numbers they were comfortable going with because those didn't sell out. Plus they just incurred a significant cost with the tooling alone. Considering these refunds popping up and enough chatter from those who missed out completely (myself included but that's on me for forgetting the drop time) I'd say they may change their mind and rerelease some if not all of these.

Yeah they should re-release them. I want to buy lots of these guys. Obviously lots of people missed out or are getting refunded.

Repaints in Wave 2 will be nice, but lots of us want Wave 1 in massive quantities.

Trying to remember, but didn't a similar scenario play out with the black and white Power Lord figures?
The figures sold out and then this huge debate occurred as to whether the second release would devalue the limited nature of the first release.

I got two figures (hopefully?), but I wouldn't be bothered if more were made. Everyone wants to tear these guys apart and play with them, not keep them sealed or whatever form them come in (but to each your own). SMC is listening, but some time will probably be needed before everyone is satisfied.

I think that debate was one guy saying he cares about owning limited figures and pretty much everyone else in the community saying they don't care if the exact same figures are run again.

I'm all for enough being produced again to meet the demand. I might even pick up the green and red that I passed on this time, but I have a feeling I won't really miss those as soon as the next wave is revealed.

I sat up and participated in the 24 hr. Toy Break episode a little over a week ago and was fortunate enough to be the high bidder on a solid green figure (they auctioned off one ea. of just the unpainted figures). Well, it showed up in the mail today and these things really are outstanding! I really think Spy Monkey had no idea just how popular these would be until things were revealed on April 1st and the frenzy started. I'm sure Spy Monkey will do whatever it can to kick out more figures until we all have plenty to mess around with, but I'm sure glad to at least have this one!

Awesome build, for some reason it makes me think of la chupacabra!

I really do love the way Goliath blends with so many different lines, and damn, those claws...

This makes me so very glad I invested in all that red PVC 8-)

Does anyone have any of the Warcraft movie minifigs? I feel like these would mix great with them, especially the mounts

The super armored torso really looks good with the BT pieces.

A bit of news on the next drop.

They're coming back and bringing new warriors with them!
Battle Tribes Wave 1 Reissues and new Wave 2 figures are set for release this Summer!
Returning from Wave 1 are the DX Savage Adventurer, DX Nomadic Orc and the first four Battle Builders; Pale Flesh, Orcskin Green, Crimson and Ice Blue.
Wave 2 will feature three new DX Figures as well as three new Battle Builders, to be revealed as the release date approaches!
We've significantly increased the production run and our http://www.spymonkeycreations.com address now takes you direct to our new hub, which includes our NEW online store and links to our Facebook and Redbubble stores.
Our new store features a more precise shipping matrix and it allows us to offer customers in Canada, the UK and Singapore USPS First Class shipping for small orders at a much lower rate than USPS Priority.
Lastly, in celebration of the grand opening of our new online store, we are having a sale on all Weaponeers of Monkaa Action Figures including a great Granite Wave Bundle that includes all 3 Granite Series Action Figures and a Close Combat Armory for the low price of $24!

Can't wait to see what the next three figures will be.

That's great, but I could still use extra of the other two colors as well.

With these style of figures, I feel like flesh should be a color that runs every wave. It's be like if October toys said bone white is a limited release, it just doesn't make sense. I understand that you want to get the most use out of the mold but that's what all the other heads are for right?

I also think the flesh could be run most waves. There's plenty of color combinations they could accent the flesh with to keep it fresh. On the flip side they may not want to drop many flesh colored barbarians so fast. If thats the case they can leave the flesh as a Battle Builder color with the DX figures using a different PVC color.

Exciting news! Psyched to see what new things are to come with this line.

I'd be down for flesh tones in other colors ie: darker skin.

Wonder if one of the next colors will be the Army Green figure and saw on instagram

That is quite possible, but my guess is that that fig/color is a test shot, and I say that because the glyarmor, kabuto mushi mkII and Titan mushi all had test shots in the same or similar color.

The promo shots had these guys posing with Playmobil stuff, right? I just saw a big Playmobil castle on 50% off clearance at Barnes & Noble. I'm pretty sure it was this one:

http://www.playmobil.us/wolf-knights-castle/6002.html

Might be a good place for them to hang out.

Probably would have grabbed one myself, but I was spending all my money on clearance Chima Lego.

I bought a second-hand Playmobil castle after I ordered my figs on launch night. It's sitting in my living room waiting for the figs to arrive... who are stuck at the airport! So currently I have the castle but no Battle Tribes.

This is the castle:

Mine has most of the accessories missing but I plan on customising it anyway.

If anybody has a Barnes and Noble with that Playmobil castle I mentioned earlier still in stock, FYI it's now 75% off.

I wasn't sure if I really wanted it, but for some reason I searched it on their site today. Once I saw that $14.99 price tag, I was like, "Road trip!" There weren't any out on the floor, so I figured the stock never got updated and I was out of luck. But one of the employees checked the back and found an unopened case.

Being Wolf Knight Castle really works out, considering the alternate wolf pelt head on the Battle Tribes guys. The neon green trim will also go well with a GITD figure, should we luck out and get one next drop. It can now be Castle Grayskull Ghostwolf!
