Crap. For some reason I didn't notice the limits on the pink and green crayboth when I ordered. I'm not used to seeing limits on those.

I would have gotten more but that darn exchange rate is killing me >< I only got two Armorvor and the Type Zero Neo Sarvos and two Crayboth and some axis. Couldn't get the Glyclops, or the Keytrius Varteryx, or a second Bio Paralyzer... Let alone an Armodoc. Good thing I already have one.

Kind of blown away that nothing's sold out yet. It's an incredibly neat drop overall. I wonder if the Thursday night sale threw some of the regulars off?

So 2 of the 3 Armorvors were labeled "Armorvor" proper, does that mean that they might actually have the wolf head? The Bio Paralyzer was the only one labeled Neo Granthan...hmmm...

Man, this drop... That's the most I've spent in a while. The Keytrius colors are literally my ideal colorway, been waiting for a bright, vivid green and metallic makes it that much better. First time I've double dipped on Glyarmors, one is never leaving Neo Sarvos form (or my desk). First time in a while I've bought upgrade parts, too, I want to bulk up my greens this time.

Being on the road today kept me from catching the drop at 9:30. Wasn't able to get online until 12:30. Since I only collect crays, I was excited to see 3 up. Unfortunately, the mystery was sold out according to paypal. The site said 'low stock'. So anyone that bought extras, I may be coming your way. :D

I'm pretty sure Matt said the wolf head was replaced with the Granthan head in the mold, so no more wolf. I'm guessing they are labeled Armorvor for story reasons, whatever that story may be.

Shoot Matt an email - he's been happy to add additional bits onto my orders after the first hour in the past without adding any additional shipping (shipping to UK is $45 these days!) Can't fault Onell's customer service. :D

I don't doubt it... but after thinking about it I need to be reasonable and not order so much... I already spent too much in the last few weeks on Mandarake >< (shipping a Fourze Driver is expensive...) and I really should be saving money because I actually plan on quitting my current job to get back to school in the fall...

Hanging around here is just bad for my wallet.

Picked me up an orange Doc because orange is my favorite color. Can't say any of the other colorways in this drop really spoke to me though.

As of 6:45 AM central the store shows that the Armodoc and Mystery Cray are in stock, but they are OUT OF STOCK when transferred paypal. I'm a bit surprised that the Nonilla Pink hasn't sold out. I thought that would be the 1st to go.

Do you think the higher prices are scaring people away? Slowly over the last year we've see the $8 figure disappear. Although we get more pieces and different paint apps, the price has crept up to $15 a figure and I know that has changed my buying habits.

I've always been a fan of detail lines but I really like the paint apps and contrasting colors on Nonilla Pink with blue.

I´m also a bit concerned about rising prices. Besides, as mentioned by calvindavis, shipping costs to Europe have become astronomical (45 $).

Nevertheless I couldn´t resist this drop. The most appealing figure to me was the Glyarmor Type Zero - reminded me of some classic Japanese mecha models.

The figures have become too expensive. And after my time in the Glyos fandom, people usually just want a lot of parts to mess with.

Lack of display space is the main thing that changed my buying habits. I don't even have room to fit in the one or two figures I buy at a time anymore. If I was new to collecting, I would probably go over $100 on each round like I used to, but that pretty much only happens with Hades Force/Spectre waves now.

Some of my favorites have been retired though, like the original Exellis and the wolf head Armorvor. The Elder Exellis head and new traveler body never really appealed to me, and Sunstorm is the only Armorvor I've got since the change to the Neo Granthan head.

I only picked up Type Zero Glyarmor and accessories and the mystery cray this round. I would have liked to see a Type Zero Skeleden.

I think the higher prices would turn away new and casual buyers, these are small and less articulate toys for their prices and that always seems to be a stopping point for people I try to get into these weird things. Most that have been around a while know the price hikes usually come with heavier loads of paint and extra parts, I don't really mind $14 for a Glyarmor because I get parts for 3 different character builds from one purchase, but I wouldn't mind seeing an old school drop of part-swapped colorways and no armors.

Correction, my wallet would not mind that.

As a Transformer guy I've seen some ridiculous price gains in the last 5 years from rising production costs, going from very solid and well constructed toys for $12 a pop to almost $20 for something with low paint, cheap construction, and hollow parts. Meanwhile a big fat hunk of PVC like a Gobon is still $8, and when there's no armor or ridiculous paint masks, things like Exellis and Glyans still run $8. The way I see it I still get an $8 Pheyden, but it comes bundled with a $6 set of upgrade armor and two new heads as well, same way an Argen is the same cost as a Buildman and Axis Joint set together. It's just tough to justify when it's the norm and not a special thing. I can't blame Matt, he has to find new things to do with a toy he's been running for over 8 years, but it does feel like the drops are relying too much on the expensive armors and paintjobs lately.

Most of you have been doing this for much longer than I have but when comparing Glyos to my other hobby (RC) it seems that at least Glyos can maintain it's value. With RC you spend $300 on a car then more often than not you have to upgrade or replace broken parts - and you will never get back the dollars spent.

Now granted this is a definite apples to oranges comparison but at least if you want to sell off your Glyos you are sure to get a better return on your investment.

So with all that said, for most of the time that I have been around Glyos the more expensive figures have been around so I never knew the "cheaper" days. I guess it will all depend on if they sell. I am sure Onell won't keep producing things if they sit in the store.

One last thing, it would be awesome to have like random grab bags of various parts for builder in the store.

The Type Zero was the star of the show for me. Great, great color. I wish we had Glyans and other figures in this color for more building options.

The drop name (Rift Pioneers) makes me think of Macross and Tenchi Muyo. I wonder what the actual inspiration was behind this wave. The colors seem like they could be 90s anime themed.
