The core, hands, and feet are Knights of the Slice Brick. The belt is Neo Sincroid, Armorvor, and Phase Arm bits. The arms and legs utilize Armorvor, Phaseon, Hub Set, Phase Arm, and Axis Joint parts

Keeping with the 3 3/4" figures, I used my Power Lords Soldier to create a loose homage to Metalder's Violent Spirit Top Gunder -

Cyborg Hunter Zero XS - Base figure is a Four Horsemen Power Lords Soldier figure, a G.I. Joe: 30th Anniversary Firefly vest, along with Glyos Gendrone, Phase Arm, and Axis Joint parts. The right hand is from a Knights of the Slice figure, and the sword is from a Tron Legacy Clu 2.0.

There have been some awesome builds posted since last I poked my head in the thread...

MicroBry, this is fantastic! There's just the right blend of originality and homage in the vehicle build, and the drone has a certain charm as well. Combined, and both make for a solid set filled with the same kind of energy that childhood Saturday mornings were made of!

I have a soft spot for biotech monsters, so seeing this, mechanoid, warms the cockles of my biotech monstrous heart. The knee joints are interesting . . . how well do they hold up?

See, eewk, I know I commented before, and I know he's supposed to be an evil badass demon king, but . . . that face, yo. Maybe it's just me, but now I'm seeing traces of puppy in that big ol' mug of his. Who's a good dragon monster demon king? You are! Yes you are, yes you are, and then eaten alive. But so worth it.

In all seriousness, eewk, you build the greatest monsters, period.

TJ, this guy just looks the part of a "big hero robot," aside from maybe the more alien-looking head . . . although that's a clever little pairing of parts, too. Nice shaping with all the curved parts!

Please never stop tinkering with builds, mech. Not when you make stoic "rusted future" transforming samurai mecha in the process. (The Knights of the Slice builds, of which there are several now, are also really well done. I'm actually kinda surprised how well you got their aesthetic to blend with the sister line stuff!)

I'd like to think that somewhere, there's a Traveler -- let's call him Carl -- that remains, to this day, the only rejected applicant to join the Legion. Way to go, Carl. Way to go.

That is an impressive clear build, WTGTIV! The little stinger is such a nice touch. And Imperious, man . . . looks like the big 'bot could wreck anything. Just what went into that guy?

Y'know, MaxEPadd, you are smooth when it comes to integrating Swing Joints into a build, to the point that the Dark Traveler build looks just as "official" as the Swing Glyan build. Nice "power-up" effect, too!

All it needs is some obnoxiously groomed facial hair, awful, awful shorts, and about a gallon of AXE.

Honestly, Argen does not stay uncorrupted in my collection for very long.

An attempt at a Contained Build that didn't quite work out: an Argen, three Axis Joint sets, and a Noboto. It's also hard not to keep going back to Matt's blaster arm design. It's also also hard not to keep figuring out new claw designs.

The leftovers, not counting the Noboto / Protoclone heads.

A few months ago this started out as an exercise to incorporate the Gobon sphere and middle part of the phase arm with everything else as secondary parts (and I'm sure I swiped someone's leg build; sorry!). A couple of weeks ago I revisited and tweaked the arms, and then it eventually turned into a contained build of three axis joint sets, two phase arma/Gobon blasters, and a Traveler extra set (basically, as you can probably tell I tweaked it a little from that).

Working on getting these to display better, but for now...

Thanks for the compliments on the hornet and Imperious builds Kranix. Imperious is the majority of pieces from Imperious Maxx and the Ancient Creator. I'll take some pics of his backside next time I break out the camera. Man, I love that you take the time to compliment everyone on their builds. A daunting task due to the sheer coolness of this thread and everything in it. Where you find the time I don't know, but it is appreciated. In regards to your own builds, there's no way I'd be able to sort through the bracket quote = kranix close bracket thing that pops up when I try to respond to your post directly but eewk singled out the one with the kitty cat.

Thanks for the kind words on the swing builds Kranix! When i'm building with the figures I like to add articulation and some bulk, while keeping the character pretty close to the original figure.

Thanks for the back shot! That's a clever use for those round angled pieces. And Polythemus is a beast! Bonus points for a Tom Servo-esque head, but those hands . . . those hands clearly mean business!

The body has some nice part usage going for it, don't get me wrong, but that head? That head is sublime. It looks like it could fit on any number of "super-deformed" builds, alongside more retro-futuristic robot designs. Nice work!

No exaggeration: I had oral surgery the same week that I got hit by a car. I needed to build this weekend.

Argen Monstromillian.

CONTAIN BUILD ALL THE THINGS. No, but seriously, two Argens (with Axis Joint sets) and three Swing Joint sets later, here we are. Granted, there's an assist from a Pheyden torso and pelvis, but those things aren't exactly uncommon. I still don't know how I get it to balance consistently.

Gliporian, Villser style.

What's that well-known and beloved anime franchise that has the three vehicles that combine into one of three different robots, depending on how they fit together? Acquirer Obot or something? Anyway, the left arm reminds me of Acquirer-C somehow. Y'know, the one with the tank treads and yellow helmet. Man, those were some cool robots.

A Bug and His Pew-Pew.

Sometimes, even the Mushi need their boomsticks. And their wingparts. And maybe some good ol' legwarmers of death. Maybe one day, my Mushi builds will actually have functional knees. Who knows? Maybe they'll be able to look up and down someday, too! A-and . . . a-and . . .

Oh, heck, this was a leftover parts build because of what I wanted for this guy:

Big stompy feet, make way for . . . other . . . big stompy feet.

Argen is my go-to if I want a Contained Build. Enyriun is my go-to if I want to try and make the robots look all dynamic, contained building be damned. (See also here.)

Oohhh, this looks like a good spot to share some builds!

A character I made called The Captain (the one in the green). I can't remember what I named the Armorvor one, if I even did.


And The Captain chasing Tux, with an axe she stole, across a Christmas village.



A pair of self contained build tests. Tried making S.O.T.A. and Coptor. S.O.T.A. was supposed to have a bunch of advanced scanning equipment built into his backpack, so I ran with that idea. Coptor is a little more boring looking, but I kinda like that.




I like doing self contained builds with Robo Force sets. Like this hover-bot!
