IDing Crays

I have 8 Crayboths that are not matching up with the Onell Database. The white one is similar to Ivorinium but darker. The far right one in the second pic is similar to Wave 46 Gunmetal but brownish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One on the way left of the first pic is the Eaglet cray released by Spy Monkey. The rest I think were extra pack-ins.

Top left: Eaglet from SMC exclusive drop.
Top 2nd: Ivoronium(?) freebie from whenever we had the Ivory drop(?).
Top 3rd/4th: no idea, your pics are too small for my maggot-ridden eyes. I assume they were freebies from their corresponding drops.
Bottom 1st: Villser Core freebie (I assume from last drop I was not part of)
Bottom 2nd: Ultra Bronze freebie from either the Ultra Bronze drop or the drop before it.
Bottom 3rd: I forget the color name, but it's a gold color shared by Onell/Godbeast/SMC and was a freebie in one of the Onell drops
Bottom 4th: legit no idea, never seen that little psyker bugger before.

The general rule of thumb for Crayboths:
If you find one that is completely unpainted, there's a very good chance it was tossed in as a freebie in a previous drop- thus being uncharted in the Master Archives.
Hope this helps!

The bottom brown one is an extra from the Onell wave with the sabaku mage crayboth. Just look up that name and you'll see the wave it comes from.

Thanks for the input. I'm a bit more familiar with stowaways now. Still working my way up the learning curve.

I would emphasize NoPaintRequired's link to the Crayboth Collector's Visual Checklist as an excellent study resource. By referencing the dates on the collector cards, one can generally determine in which drop the stowaways arrived.
Because there will be a test. Image

The first crayboth to feature the brow paint and beak paint was Eaglet, which could be considered a test run.
Crayballim was the first Onell release with the brow paint which is now a standard paint app.
Sabaku is so far the only Crayboth from Onell that has the beak paint.
Wave 47's Orkmogg Horde and Sabaku are also the first time forearm and kneecap paints were used.

Sabaku has the most paint apps of any crayboth and Orkmogg Scout is the only stowaway with paint apps.

There should be a Glyos community knowledge test with questions like "what was the primarily plastic color featured in the Sendollest drop?"

Heh. I actually started a simple game as a programming project for the Second Son. It was nothing more than name-matching various Glyos figures under a time pressure. The project never got much past alpha development and the Second Son grew up and became a paid programmer, so it will probably never be finished.

Which might be good, because even a few years ago, it was darn tough to get them all right!

I'd love to see a game like that. It sounds pretty easy to make and sounds challenging and fun.

Is there a chance that people could try and compile a visual collectors guide for other kinds of Glyos figures (Travelers, etc)?

Yes, but it doesn't have a proper system for recording what you own (the beauty of a visual checklist) and doesn't include all figures. There are plenty of short-run and crossover figures that are not archived. For example, the Plastic and Plush crimson Buildman, or the bonus unpainted figures.

I downloaded Crappy's visual database. However, there are a few that are so close that I start doubting my eyes.

I am confident in my identification, especially since they are in close succession to each other.

Indeed, as their variety increases, it gets more difficult to generate pictures that clearly distinguish them.

I also am confident in NoPaintRequired's answer above.

But if you're collecting from behind like myself, not having all of a certain color group in front of you can make you question is that Red Metal or Gendrone Liberation.

The colors happen once, there's not going to be a backstock freebie Crayboth sitting in a box waiting to make a second wave of release. Once they go out, that's it. Unless you get them secondhand, expect them to be the latest one.

Same crayboth in both pics, with flash and without. Is he bright blue or dark blue or am I off? And no, he is not gold. ;)

Best solution for color issues with this is to get a piece of white paper and set the white balance on your camera. Then take the picture of it.

My bet is Glyaxia Clone.

White balancing on an LG G3 requires a 3rd party camera app but it would probably help. And thanks for the assist.

When I saw that gold reply on Facebook I actually thought there was some joke I wasn't aware of; oops. It may actually help to take a picture of it with another Crayboth for reference. I am leaning more towards (bright) Glyaxia than (dark) Ecroyex, but each time I look at it I doubt myself.
