The Glyos Connection

Hey there, everyone! After the Henshin drop, we got a pretty big hint that Argen might not be done with the Glyos System after all. And with a certain angry noggin sneaking into some of our latest orders, it might be high time that we pay a little respect to the guy -- and what better way than with a little contest?



What is your favorite Argen build? Post a picture of any Argen build that's your favorite -- could be one of your own, an official build, or something that another fan has posted -- and congrats! You're entered into the drawing!

The winner will be chosen at random using RANDOM.org's Sequence Generator. Each user will be assigned a number based on the order of their entry, which will then be used for the Sequence Generator. Remember, it's not about the quality of the build, but more about which is your favorite Argen build so far!

To give ourselves a little time, the deadline for entry will be May 5, 2017, at 8:00 pm. The winner will be announced in-thread the following Saturday night (5/6) at 9:00 pm and PM'ed for a mailing address for the prize.

Kinda tooting my own horn here, but I love this Dark Argen build. I've had it together for quite some time, Argen was always my favorite Glyos character so I really hope to see him make a return.

This bad boy is sick.

I can chip in with a build I did a while back that took more than one Argen to make.



Just to make it official the head is Argen's, using the core of the head's reverse side for the face.

My favorite Colorway for Argen & my favorite build, The Rig Killer! !

Does o.g. argen count? He was kinda pre-argen before pheyden turned him "good" I guess. Still my favorite version though, he was like the terminator hunting down govurom

Rig Killer Argen is STILL my fav set up. I loved this colorway, and the heavier bulksuits really push the boundaries of what can be done with the fig!

Rig Killer is always one of the coolest designs, but one of my favorite eras was when Argen was doing some soul searching. Understanding the world around him and how he could adapt. From that adventure, came sort of an elite warrior style of crustacean for Crawboth to unite under, the Claw Stalker.

Argen from the Gendrone Chronicles was what got me into Collecting Argen & buildmen.

It's still one of my favorite builds.

Hey there everyone! Thanks for sharing out some of your favorite Argen builds so far!

I'm sensing that we might hit a good number of entrants this time, so I've gone ahead and added the two remaining prizes to the main post. Take a look, and good luck!

I thought I should get in on this.

I love Electric Revenant Argen's colors and this figure inspired some cool head canon.


Honorable mention to Argen MK IV. It took me a long time to acquire the necessary axis joints to complete this build.

Here's my entry. I have two different Argen builds that are favs that I'd like to share. First up is this take of Dark Argen by our contest host kranix. I specifically like the mega-gun-arm because for me it helps sell this build as an evolution from previous versions of Argen from early on with various gun arms.


My secong fav I wanted to highlight is this one from the main man himself called The Velstryker Formation. When I saw this version and read the blurb about Argen flying in and attacking it reminded me of the countless hours playing the Streets of Rage game and these goons you had to fight with jetpacks. They'd swoop in and hit you or grab you, pick you up high and let you fall. I can picture Argen causing mayhem in the same way battling a group of adversaries.

Trovic Hybrid, not really sure if he counts as an argen build but he uses a lot of build man parts.

If he doesn't count I'd hafta mirror Rig Killer Argen

Vangelus's Autocentaur build is pretty cool, I'm not entirely sure it counts as Argen in any technical sense. Still cool, especially considering that it transforms.



Also, I read the title of the contest about eight times before I got the joke. Well done on the pun.

Without question, has to be the RX-78-2 Gundam build from Dex Antares:



colors are gorgeous and the panel lining is very well done for that scale.

It's just a standard Axis Armor, but this colorway is absolutely beautiful and gives off an 'organic robot' look!

Hope this dead presidents buildman counts. I just love the look of this finish.
