The old vs new side-by-side compare/contrast picture thread

Hey folks,

I wanted to make this thread for the sole purpose of having reference pictures of old vs new figures side-by-side to compare/contrast them.

So basically here's how it works:

Someone asks for a picture of old vs new figures (example: all the releases of hades. Original crayboth vs Standard crayboth. MvsR Noboto vs Standard Noboto. Etc.)

To contribute, someone who owns the figures asked for posts a picture of them lined up side-by-side so we can see how the figures have changed and evolved over the years.

So with that, let's begin!

I would like to see the Standard mark 4 Pheyden next to the standard mark 5 Pheyden.

Could someone with the Phanoid Orange extra set from the latest drop compare it to other clear orange colors like Dark Gliporian or Pyrosurge Mutation? Looking to form some sort of complete figure from the extra set, but not sure which color is closest.

I used Dark Gliporian and it seemed to be a good match.

Hey, I have a somewhat-related-to-the-topic-of-this-thread question: how does the Glyarmor from the Neo Astrovos compare to the Selogo Blue? Does it match with either the plastic color or the paint color, or does it instead kinda fit halfway between both?

Sorry for the bad photo, but here's a rough comparison- Astrovos blue has a slightly deeper tone than Selogo blue, but it's lighter than Selogo dark blue. I could see the colors working well together in a build, though.

This is sorta relevant, but are there any differences between Glyaxia and Sonesidar yellow? I swear I've put the two next to each other so many times and they both look so close but not exact.

Sonesidar is slightly more orange.

Oh-so-slightly more. I can only see the difference when the pieces are side-by-side and in good light.

I have seen a greater separation of shade between production runs of what is supposed to be the same color.

Here's a comparison no one asked for- Nonillia vs. Dimension Drifter pink. The plastic is just barely different. The white balance on the picture isn't the best, but Nonillia is slightly more pink than DD, and more cloudy. It still works pretty well though.

Nice! Come to think of it, we probably should have some comparisons between clears. Any volunteers?

Here are a couple comparisons, courtesy of my clear collection:



Nonillia Vs. Neo Nonillia - Neo Nonillia is a more intense pink and appears to have a higher sparkle density than standard Nonillia.



Rayexx vs. Biophase Green - Biophase green is a much more pure green, while Rayexx is more bluish-green.

Not really. Standard Voss goes to greener shade than the new extra set that's more blue. If one is toothpaste, the other is mouthwash.
