I gotta say, I'm glad picked up the Commayder, he looks great with the DSG Selogo yellow scarf!

The only thing that surprised me about him was that the Red does not match the Selogo red, which is slightly darker. Commayder's red is also lighter and warmer in tone.

Hmm, didn't expect that. Obviously I figured it was the same red as the rest of the Selogo items. Cool pics BTW, looks good with the scarf too.

Thanks Venenor & Toyetic. Yeah the Selogo Red has more of a magenta cast to it, Toyetic's pic on the previous page shows the difference pretty well. I like them both (Commayder a little more) but together they clash.

So the plan on this drop was all in on the blue and I had no idea what I would make... I did not expect this! The head designed happened and then the rest just followed suit until I had a spiny blue lobster inspired beast I've dubbed Therminator.

One Glyan, two Hub Sets, two Axis Joints, two Swing Joint sets, two Phase Arm sets, no leftover parts (the heads, gun, and scarf are on the back as a shell and tail of sorts).

I like how shiny the blue is that you might mistake it for a glossy paint coat.

I'd say so if you have extra red darkness soldier armor.

But as you pointed out, the red building parts from this drop clash with commayder or in my case the darkness soldier i was planning on bulking up. The only 2 red figures i have.

All this talk of the different reds got me inspired. I wanted to do a quick comparison shot, but one thing led to another... At first the two different reds from Wave 64 bugged me, but if this difference led to me playing in the back yard, maybe I just don't know what's good for me...but it seems like the folks at Onell/Toyfinity do!

I think that overall Commayder's red is very unlike any of the others I own, it's much warmer, the others all have more magenta in them, the Darkness soldiers are the most neutral, but still not as vibrant as Commayder.

This is amazing! One of my favorite contained builds in a long time. And to echo what tat2artst said, definitely reminiscent of the Villser builds from years ago. Bonus points for the pun, of course.

I think this build also showcases just how much of an effect having paint apps on the accessory sets can have. Makes me hope that we keep getting decked-out Hubs, Phase Arms, and Axis Joints in future drops!

Hah, this is great! It's stuff like this that really brings out the nostalgic feel for toy catalogs and card backs that showcased figures in the middle of an action sequence. Kudos! Though they must've been a pain to pose if there was any wind whatsoever.

The selogo red is deeper and darker than the Tracker/reydurran/darkness soldier red. It's closer to the blood red metallic from a more recent drop. I haven't put them side by side but they are markedly different, although they might work well together.

Really like this blue and yellow and would welcome these colors for the next Glyaxia heavy drop. Anyway, decided to go with a Glyanaut inspired "helmet" for the blue one's build and some blasters that can double as as a jetpack using an axis disk in between. The yellow builds are a redux of an old contained build duo I made during the Sonesidar drop. Parts from a DSG & two Axis joints to make this explorer and his drone companion. Only extra part is the drone's "eye" which is a clear blue rivet from a SpyMonkeyCreations original Armory set.

Thanks Witch³, I appreciate the kind words. Still not sure which version of the build I prefer. The Sonesidar version uses two big Axis ball halves for the hips that I swapped some smaller ones for in the Selogo yellow version. In order to do so I had to lose those smaller Axis ball halves from the arms. Although there's less elbow articulation now in the Selogo yellow version I think the "look" of the build is more powerful without the kinda long & lanky arms of the Sonesidar version.

I don't know why but I usually have a hard time leaving spare parts alone. My Selogo blue explorer build left me with plenty that found their way into another build I'll be posting soon.
