Will we ever see the rig runner again?

Y'know I haven't seen the rig runner in a long while. Think it ever might make a comeback?

I don't see why not. 2 of the 3 pieces are still being used for the Callgrim bikes. The third is just an arm from the Rig.

I really hope so! The Rig Runner, along with the Rig and the Armodoc, are pieces that haven't been in any of the drops since I started collecting. I'd love to expand my vinyl collection beyond my two Super Crays!

There was 1 Orkmog Armodoc this summer in the Fantasy inspired drop. That was the anniversary drop I think?

I know it's unlikely but I am always hopeful for a vinyl heavy drop. Something with all vinyl molds (and maybe add in a callgrim vinyl warp pack as a ship or something) with only a few pvc parts in complimentary but not necessarily the exact same colors- 2 travellers, a glyan, and some roboforce with accessory parts is more or less my dream drop at this point. The most recent drop I can point to that comes close to this was the Rig Crew 2 drop, but it falls a bit short in the vinyl department. Ideally I'd love drops with everything like the days of ZED, but with the increase in # of molds and costs I know that's probably impossible at this point.

As to how best incorporate the Rig Runner again, a tron inspired drop with Rig Runners as the centerpiece would be pretty badass. Black vinyl with neon blue lines and black vinyl with neon orange highlights would be awesome. Plus use the blocks and triangles to make a track for them to fight/race on. Give us some trans blue figs with light blue and trans orange with red highlights and panel lines like Redlaw Phanost and you have one hell of a perfect Rig runner comeback drop :pheyL:

I'd like to see a Glyan get the deluxe paint app treatment that noboto and the travelers have been getting along with a contrasting rig runner and maybe a new mini blocker rig configuration

I assume that the secondary market for Rig runners and Warp bikes is very limited and $$$$. I really wish I could find a couple, guess I'll have to try building some "bikes" with Roboforce kits

Jesse still has the Firespray Warp Bike in stock at Callgrim.com//shop for $25. I will say that I think the future of Glyos based vehicles is probably going to be RF based at least for the immediate timeframe.

Thanks jl, I was lucky enough to get the Firespray bike for Xmas.

There are some really solid RF builds out there, just like the vinyl bikes more :D

I vaguely remember Matt posting there was something amiss with the Rig Runner mold? I think we've only seen it in warp bike configuration for years.

I hope we get a vinyl-heavy drop soon. That is one bit of glyos stuff I don't own.
there's something about the blocks that has me super into them.

This is not true. Each vinyl piece has it's own separate mold, and we've seen 2 of them with all warp bikes and the rig runner front is just the rig short arm, which was last seen with the last rig releases, which admittedly has been far too long.

So this thread led me to look up what a Rig Runner was as I wasn't 100% sure. Google came up with this:

Forgetting the rig for a moment I need those colours on everything! BLACK AND ORANGE FTW!!!

That makes sense!

I can't find pictures, but there was an amazing Warp bike custom that Jesse did for one of the Toypocalypse shows. I need to find that again.
