Onell January 2019 drop: Order in Exile

Note some of the tags at the bottom of the post. Looks like we will definitely see an Old Knight cross over from Toy Pizza and looking like some Vinyl as well --Ooo La la!

Oh the speculation!
So from the gif it looks like
1) we'll have an official black glyknight (despite having just had both a black glyan and black buildstation recently, but one can never have too much black) that appears to be the baddie of the bunch. Possibly a Skeleden cohort?
2) the glyknight symbol with the side extensions seems to only fit on the belly of the Old Knight, though possibly it could be painted on the glyarmor like the silver ninja. None of the other figs seem to have enough real estate for a tampo that large and wide.
3) based on lostnearinfinity's instagram post he got some bonus axis joints in his recent order. One is translucent blue-green similar to Rayexx, and one is a darker metallic with a shade of pearlescent brown. Both colors are prominent in the gif, which makes me extra excited. I've been hoping for more Warlord metallic root beer but this is looking a lot darker.
4) as much as I'd like an Old Knight in that darker metallic brown, Matt's description of "spectral swords and cursed battle axes" makes me mentally connect "spectral sword" to the translucent blue-green. Though that tampo shows up in the gif on both the green and the brown...hmm maybe he'll pull something similar to the first Rift Killer crossover and have two OKs in the drop!
5) my favorite moment of the gif is that transition when the green tampo is on top of the brown background. I'm assuming that it's just the transition between two separate colorways but damn that looks cool!

I know, I'm freakin' psyched! It would only be natural to get some type of new paint application on the Vinyl, especially since the last Supercray was fully painted.

So, after looking at the drop gif a few more times I'm wondering if the Glyknights shown are all new characters or new versions of previous characters. First there's the mostly black one with the red eye/visor. I'm thinking this is a new form for Soldeth because of the red eyes in a similar shaped visor. Speaking of similar shapes, when that image phases out before the gif replays there's a spilt second glimpse of another visor with four vertical bars with points/spikes. We've seen two Glyknights with a four bar design (without points/spikes of course) before, that was the light blue Varellius and the golden Thuriyun. That said, Varellius' design is closer

You read my mind, or my post on the blog I've been chomping at the bit for translucent Glyan's since the stealth Glyan in the build stations sold out, I'm right there with you, fingers crossed and praying to the Santa Jesus God!

Also: the new gunmetal is the buildstation color this round. Not super surprising but I’m quite happy about it!

My prediction is we'll see a Skeleden as the Goblin King and then one of the Crayboth will also be a Goblerran mini, maybe the Supercray will be a Troll or Ogre?

Wonder if we'll get another Neo Granthan like the first Order of the Glyknight's drop?

I do this for every drop as a way to figure out how much I'm planning on spending. This is all a prediction with a lot of wishful thinking and some speculation as to what might be in the drop.

Excellent speculation. I’m assuming by the name that the Goblerran will be a Qualleran. Or two. I didn’t even make the goblin connection.
This lineup reminds me a bit of wave 68...

That list is probably fairly close, I'd expect at least one curveball that we're not expecting or have been given a hint for.

With the Goblerran reveal I wouldn't be surprised to see these guys equipped with Battle Tribes weaponry. Maybe a similar set like the one with Leather Knight from KOTS?

Although the Battle tribes Axe and Mace fit very nicely in the hands of the Noboto/Quallerran. Matt seems to stick to useing the Roboforce weapons packs, the first venture ouside of that has been the KOTS Forged Accessory Set that came with Traveler Suraisu

I would appreciate if Matt utilized the Spy Monkey Creations old school Weaponeers of Monkaa Close Combat Armory sets.

I love these and they fit really nice and tightly in the Noboto molded hands. I also wish we'd see the return of the Deluxe Weaponeers of Monkaa weapons sets.

I guess now all we can do is wait until 4pm for the pics to start rolling in

Totally called Hammerden!

This was a tough drop for me...that second Old Knight and the Super Cray battled it out in my cart and the Old Knight won this round. If the SC last a few days I might end up going back for one but for now he had to take a back seat.

Haven't done any Glyos in a while - thought the new gunmetal color looked really nice for an ancient warrior type of look, so I picked up some things for a little build.

I picked up Glyknight Phantavoss Varellius for Skeleden mode and the Beast trio in the hopes that Goblin also has a skull tampo Noboto head. Can't give up collecting Skullbotos. The matching voss Old Knight was amazing, but budget said no.

Did anyone else catch that the #3 Mystery figure Hammerden had a parts count of "13+" ? This has me really curious as to what trick Matt pulled to get the head to perhaps match the alien like quality of the original.

I took it to mean either they wanted to hide which particular Traveler build they planned (which you can usually tell from the parts count) or that they didn't know the exact number off-hand. Many of the Mystery figures would get an updated parts count hours later when Matt/Marc returned to clean up the store listings, add additional photos/lore, and/or make small corrections in the listings like spelling.
