These look fantastic. I am very excited to see where they go! (Please say production, someday! But I'll be happy in the meantime to get a 3d printed or resin one.)

ahh that means so much to me from you dude! My goal right now is to make enough of these to send them out to interested people (around 15-20 of them), get feedback and improve on the design. Im using PLA plastic, so these guys are really really stiff. You can pose them fine but the vibration of moving and arm can sometimes make the other one pop out, so PLA printed ones won't be the final choice. I'm considering upgrading my printer so I can use ABS plastic, which will then mean i can acetone them into smooth looking shiny shapes.
So the current idea is sent prototypes > get feedback > change the model based on feedback > order HQ prints of each part to cast in resin
Production would be cool too! But $$$$$$!! We'll see how it goes!

Get a socket on the bottom of that thing (for a pelvis piece to plug into) so it can turn into some kind of big walking suit, and it'll be even more wonderful.
This whole project is nothing short of adorable. Keep up the great work,
mush!

So my copy of the prototype came in! Very cute and a great size in-hand; taller and beefier than the average Traveler, which I appreciate.

I am a little concerned about her legs. She seems a little wobbly when standing and falls over a lot, but I'm hoping that's just the nature of 3D printed pieces and how they fit together. The pegs are super fussy in this material, so that could be it.

They work fine in production plastic pieces. I'm kind of in love with these robot arms. The face is also really hard to make out in this yellow, but I think the design translates pretty well in 3D.
I'm really digging the figure, and I'll be first in line to throw down on a final, man!

Thank you very much for the comments and the feedback!
The issue with the balance is actually the feet- longer flat 3d printed pieces tend to curve a bit at the bottom, combined with the low friction of this plastic its kind of a strange balancing act! I tried to sand them a bit before I mailed them out but I guess it didn't help too much... Since my printer uses PLA plastic, I dont use a heated print bed to keep it perfectly flat- I actually have a pair of these boots professionally print, and its much easier to balance the figure while its wearing them!
Im really glad you like the arms! I actually noticed after getting my AV robot in that they match well with the hips on that figure, they both have a flathead screw in them!!
Thank you so much again!!

weapon/slime head redesign

The head can come off the handle (the handle works like the skeleden axe handle) and be used seperately. The handle can then become a peg leg.

Ooh! I like the spooky eye on the back a lot, and that's a great double use of a weapon/head.

thanks dude, i love eyes like that, i was considering putting one on the chest of the figure where the star is ( i might still...)
btw did your figure make it in the mail safely?
Mutt12 wrote:Awesome ;_;
